The magnetic antenna delivered with the SBS-3 has moved again a bit higher, it's almost at the top of the loft and i was surprised. The number of plains has grown with 30-40%. With SBSplotter running a few hours now the max. distance is almost 200 nm (196.1)

It is getting better and better. With the latest SBS-3 firmware 114 with the AIS/NMEA decoder I started to do some decoding of the traffic on the Oosterschelde.
My first attempt, never done it before but here are the first radar results.
The SBS-3 runs standalone. The SDR-4 is tuned to 161.975 and radio settings are stored into the NVRAM.
In shipplotter i have made the following adjustments in the I/O settings.
To connect to the sbs-3 configure the tcp/ip settings (the ip address and remote port)

In shipplotter press START and look in the statusline if tcp/ip connection is established.
Check if you see messages and look at the chart for the ships.

The SBS-3 receiver with the standard magnetic antenna moved to the loft (8mtrs), wireless connected to a laptop at the kitchen table. Audo from the 2 SDR receivers and yes it was just a matter of changing the RTSP port into 30009 in the Hardware settings and the stream in VLC worked.
Picture is of the SBS-3 running with Active Display.
